Re: Memorial Day 2012 « Result #2 on May 29, 2012, 1:08pm »
As a veteran I would like to say it was an honor and privilege to serve, to serve my country and stand beside so many great men and women, following the example of so many that had gone before.
As a citizen, I want to thank all of those that served, that continue to serve, and let you know we honor you.
I also want everyone to take a moment to consider what this country would be, what we would have been, if not for those that gave the ultimate sacrifice are no longer with us to enjoy the freedoms their gift of service brought us.
"I expect you to fight! Kill those purplebellied bastards! When you run out of ammo use your sidearms, your knives, your fists, rocks, whatever you can get your hands on! We hold them! We damage them all we can and we don't quit!" Lt Col Boothe, 76th Independent Battalion, Battle of Serenity Valley, Hera 2511

Memorial Day 2012 « Result #5 on May 28, 2012, 7:09am »
Wishing everyone a happy Memorial Day. Sending out a thank you to anyone that is or has served this country in any branch of the military. This country wouldn't be what it is without all of you.
The links above correspond with t shirt designs I've entered in a contest. If either win, I am donating $150 towards the shindig, and use the credit won to buy the winning shirt to sell for the same purpose. The last winning entry garnered 137 votes, with an average score of 3.2 out of 6 points. This is doable! Help me to help you!

We've had a few new recruits sign up. I hope I've added all of them. Here's a little bump. If you're new check out the 1st page to make sure you're included.

Just a little bump. We have a few new members that have signed on this last week. If you're lurking out there, check the 1st page of this thread that I've included you on the Who's Who list. Thanks.

Well...looks like I need updated a bit. Farfri used to be in my nick, now it isn't. Farfri is my nick on Serenitybrowncoats, and The colonial fleet knows me as Tripod.
Thanks, but that's not the original thread, I'm afraid. Actually, there's a link to the original Tracy bean thread at the end of the first post, but when I click on that it gets an error message.
Aaaah, the original one is probably still in the Colonel's pocket. We might have to bribe him to get it back on to the board. A cup of coffee should do the trick.

We got the word that the re-construction is over:

As of this date, the restructuring of the boards is as complete as it can be made. Some info will need to be re-written, so keep an eye out for that over the next few weeks.
Thank you all for your patience, and hopefully this will make for an easier-to-navigate board.
For Command, COL Tristan
I've made the changes to the Table of Threads, so here's a bump to let you know.
Alaric - "True courage is taking your fear in one hand and showing it to your enemy, while also showing him the bared sword you are holding in the other."
I have just updated the information on this thread. The board has been reorganized recently, so if you are looking for a thread you can check here to see where is might be.
VeX, thank you. More things are going to change and some will disappear. I will not be able to give you a blow-by-blow of what happens, but I will do my level best not to overwhelm you.
No problem. I'll check in a week or two to add more of the changes. I really like the new format. Thanks, Tristan, for taking the time to organize it all.

BenServo here!!! I actually go by Pvt. Noah Rilian. Sorry to be a bother. Thanks!
No problem. I was gone on vacation, an Alaskan cruise. I'm back now, and I've updated the list. We've had several members join since the CSTS screenings in June and July.

I've just updated our list on the Who's Who Thread. We've had a few new members, but not all of them have started to post yet. If you're lurking be brave and post something in the "Roll Call" Thread. We'd like to know a little about you.

I think I'm registered as Aelwulf at FFF.net (and likely any others), although only popped over a time or two. Place still confuzzles me.
I added it to the list. I usually hung out at the Imponderable threads and the Bar & Grill thread at fff.net. That's were I met a lot of the folks on the 76th. It seems like I don't always have time to go back to fff.net. There are too many sites and too little time.
